Road Trip!

YES! as i've mentioned in my previous post, I said i would be going on a road trip to catch some lunch with friends and family.

It.Was.AWESOME! Except for the scorching heat and the icky mud, everything was soo cool! The experience was priceless. I mean, who goes to a cove and go hunting for clams and oysters for fun?? you guys should try it some time. You'll get to experience all the wildlife there! EVERYTHING was moving. seriously == it was a lil creepy.. but it was cool :D here are some pictures. More on my fb :)

this trip had more youths compared to adults XD
what nice weather :D

tsk tsk. sammy we've reduced your age to 3 :P

there were also multiple singing/guitar sessions :D

we had to walk to get to the cove ==

beds of oysters. oohlala~
dig in everybody!!

yes, i'm in a tree.

yeah.. the heat was.. unbelievably and ridiculously hot!! like, super flaming! i already lathered on sun block at home, but i felt that i had to apply another layer. just in case. but i still got burned anyway TxT  owiee..

yeah so after all that hunting, we went back to the bus and off to the booked hotel to clean up. then we went to Ah Pek something something something for some delicious seafood lunch!!

Ah Pek (air-conditioned room) there's also open air

steamed fish

deep fried oysters that we got
uhh.. glass noodles?
um.. rice noodles with red wine and other stuff?
there was also Crab Curry and Seashell with red wine sauce. But i guess my dad was too busy eating to take the photos XD all i can say is that the food is fantastic! Go ask around for Ah Pek restaurant if you're in Setiawan ;)
after lunch, we went to stop by some place and the adults went and bought salted fish and other dried seafood. then we headed off to have some cendol (iced shavings with brown sugar, milk, beans and some green jelly stuff. about the same as ais kacang) i didnt have any since i honestly found it too sweet. after cendol, we finally made our way back. and about an hour (or less) before arriving back in Ipoh, we broke out into song and sang all the way back to Ipoh. It was fun! Though poor Alex had to play the guitar (since only him, Sammy and Ben knew how to play the guitar like a pro and the other two were busy doing other things)

yeahhh so, that's about it :)

OH and Persona 4 is gonna have an Anime ;)

WHOOHOO!! :D I've been waiting for this day!! Persona 4 is a role-playing video game developed and published by Atlus for Sony's PlayStation 2, and chronologically the fifth installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series.

*please read wikipedia for more information

one of the best games i've played so far. It has a very dark and mysterious plot and you actually race against time in this game. so if you screw up, it's Game Over. Talk about pressure :/
I'm currently suck somewhere and i refuse to go to walk-throughs for help. (even though it's very tempting to know the spoilers. rofl)

GOOD NIGHTS!

let's get some role play into action! ;D

Hello people-who-i-don't-know-but-read-my-blog!! I'm here today to make an advertisement :3
I don't know how many of you are anime/manga/game fans, but if you so happen to be one, take a load of this!
Well, if you're a Vampire Knight fan, then lucky you! Me, I'm not really a fan. I just find Zero incredibly sexy :B

Teehee~ he's my favourite character in the series. :3

Any ways, I stumbled upon this role playing site. I was looking for another one since Bella Luna (Twilight role-playing forum) was transformed into a Harry Potter one, (omg no way!) and so began my quest to quench my thirst of the thrill of role-playing with people i don't know. I particularly like vampire themed RP-forums (RP = role-playing) cause lets just face it. Vampires are awesome. Werewolves too! :D but Vampire Knight don't have werewolves. They have oodles of Bishies instead! (Bishonens are really good looking boys. Otaku terms)
So, the basic thing about a RP-forum is,
  1. you get to be your dream canon character (if they're not being played by someone else) or be your own character
  2. live out your character's life as to in the series/game/manga/whatever.
  3. meet tons of new people!
So basically, it's like reading a book. But you and other write that book. How cool is that? Mind you, that RP-ing in a forum is NOT like a game (DOTA, maplestory, ect.)

here's a few pictures of the site:

this is where you edit a post, or make a new one

this is a thread and it shows posts of your own and other people.

this is the main page where you can access all the threads in the forum

and this here, is the header! isn't it awesome?

so, as you can see, it is exactly identical to any other forum. It's just that it's uses are slightly different ;)
and besides, we need more members! we currently have 121 members. (me being the latest :D)
so, if you're interested, click on the header above and come join us!

Credits goes to those who own the forum and made it happen :)

The Awesome, The Weird, The Ugly

Hello readers! today, I shall blog about cosplay! or rather cosplayers, cause, you can't cosplay if you aren't a cosplayer :D (you get my point)
anyway, I just had this sudden ping to google cosplay and I've got to say.. "wow. i want to do that too!"
here are some examples:

The Awesome

Nell from Bleach? (not sure)

main character from Digimon (forgot his name. Daviis i think)

Sakura from Naruto

Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2

Tifa from Final Fantasy VII

 Riku from Kingdom Hearts

The Weird

(I have absolutely no idea what this is)

As the picture states, the box from Metal gear Solid (lol)

One of the gundams from Gundam (like the attitude though :D)

and then there's..
The Ugly
Sailor Moon

That.. is a guy.

Oh that is just wronggg

Furries. Meh

okay, so i had a hard time looking for pictures for the last category, cause I don't like to offend people. and i think i just did, by putting them into the Ugly section. but... it can't be helped! They look.. uh.. nonidentical to the characters they are trying to portray? to simply put it nicely. Though.. I think the guy in the 3rd picture cosplay-ed that on purpose.
SO! If you're interested, go google some tips, or pictures and do like those cosplayers in the 1st category! C:
but of course, don't do it if your budget is lowww... or if you don't have the time (according to some sources, making or purchasing a cosplay outfit with it's accessories costs a bomb and takes up loads of time [to make, or hunt for the stuffs]. just so you know.)
Here's a site I found regarding Naruto cosplay (since Naruto is super popular and all) for your reference :D
http://www.nanoda.com/en/naruto/naruto-cosplay.html

Good luck~!

Stay with me forever

I'm really hooked on Obata Yuuki's Bokura Ga Ita.
Although it's a manga & anime series, and even though it is kinda long (50 chapters plus and going on manga, 31 episodes on anime) (you can read the manga on mangafox) It's really addictive. Why you ask?
Well, it's not because that the hero is seriously handsome or because of awesome weapons or fight scenes (though there are none of that in either of the series), it's because of the bittersweet disappointment that we call reality.

In the story, we see life from Takahashi Nanami (heroine)'s eyes. As she goes through the hurdles life throws at her, she manages to pull through and also to find the love of her life; Yano Motoharu

Seriously, I don't usually favour long manga series. It makes you chase after them like addicts. But this one series (besides Hot Gimmick) just really reaches out to me. I can imagine myself in that situation and asking myself "Would I do the same thing?" The emotions that the mangaka depicts are really real and deep, deep enough for me to comprehend and understand what the characters are facing. I believe that the story these two characters share are among the many same ones that other couples in love are sharing.

This is one manga that I truly and honestly mind recommending; even to those who do not read manga or watch anime. Even the soundtracks are really soothing and it somehow... depicts the feelings of the story :)

Besides, it's also to distract me from a certain something.

Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli movies are classics! Just simply amazing.

I woke up this morning around after 11 and watched Spirited Away

If you haven't heard of Studio Ghibli, go wiki or google it up. It's pretty much shameful to not know about Studio Ghibli.

Anyway, this movie is about a young 10 year old girl named Chihiro who moves to another town with her parents. As her father takes a short-cut, they end up in a decommissioned amusement park - something that isn’t very unusual in Japan. It’s deserted, but yet there are food stands, and the parents gorge themselves despite Chihiro’s wish to go. Things begin to go really weird at this point: The parents turn into huge pigs (literally), and Chihiro is trapped in a weird fantasy land. She ends up in a bath house for gods, and has to work there while trying to save her parents and escape.

*credits to The World According To Nils for the shorter version of the summary.

This is one of my favourite among the Studio Ghibli productions. Other favourites are My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Grave of The fireflies and Howl's Moving Castle.
Spirited Away, is in a way, pretty much touching as the protagonist captures people's hearts with her sort-of-klutzy self and her not-giving-up attitude. I really admire this 10 year old character. I first watched this movie back when I was 10 I think. It was a really long time ago. But after watching it again and really understand the plot and stuff, it really touches me.

After that movie, I proceeded to watch Howl's Moving Castle.

This movie is about an 18 year old girl named Sophie who runs her late-father's hat shop. She's been turned into an old woman by a witch called Witch of The Waste. She then runs away and meet's a scarecrow that she calls Turnip Head. She then accommodates a walking, metal castle with a face (literally) and sets to try and reverse the curse set by the witch with Howl's help (indirectly) by falling in love with him and also along the way tries to break Howl's pact with Calcifer; the fire demon as well.

I was stunned by the beautifully detailed artwork in the movie. Truly incredible! I have to say, Howl is definitely a very handsome guy. He's actually quite vain but has a really kind heart. Watch the movie to know more! (:
I was really impressed by Sophie's attitude as well! There were some hilarious parts like a towel dropping from howl and onto the floor (SPOILER!)

I'd give 2 thumbs up to Both the movies and also to the others mentioned. There are more Studio Ghibli movies that I have not watched. I'm waiting for the opportunity to buy them and enjoy the humour, the moral of the story, stunning OSTs and beautiful artworks (:

ciao~

need a butler? just call Sebastian and trade your soul.

It's been like what... 2 years since i watched anime?
Kay, so here's the story:
Danielle lent me 2 DVDs on an anime called 黒執事/kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.
At first It was Chan who lent the anime to Aryna and then to Danielle. So, after watching the 24 episode series, they went utterly crazy and started calling themselves Sebastian and Ceil. (the main characters in the show)
Sebastian is a demon butler who was summoned by Ceil Phantomhive; a 12 year old kid who lost everything and became a slave, to serve him until he finds the person responsible for his parents' death. When the killer is found and killed, Sebastian will then take Ceil's soul with him to hell for eternal damnation.
So anyway, Danielle now keeps calling Aryna "Bo Chan" (?). =.=||
Over all, it's a kind of gory anime with lots of limbs twisting in unimaginable ways and of course lots of blood and more limbs flying :) Lots to do with mythical creatures like angels, demons, death gods ect. ect. this anime's kinda cool actually. Really adore Ceil's personality: I-don't-care-as-long-as-it's-done attitude. LOL!
